Last night was my first time attending an Indonesian kawanua gathering in decades. Many people I did not recognise as I have not seen them for a very long time. However many were shocked to see my new shape (not round) and my lifestyle change has been the main talking point at the party.
Mum usually makes her famous Soto Jakarta on Lunar New Year Day but I had already booked my ticket back without knowing it was Lunar New Year. uGHz so I missed out.
Anyways had Asif pick me up in the morning, and I was wearing my new Lunar New Year Shirt.
When I got back, a friend cooked a Lunar New Year Lunch.
Nothing beats an authentic home cooked meal.
