My love for Nike shoes stems from when I was 12 and my neighbor at the time had a pair of Air Max Jordan’s and said it was like walking on air. Once I began making money I was always buying Nike Air Max’s.
Then the arrival of TN’s came, followed by owning every Australian edition of the VapourMax Utility (in my opinion the best Nikes ever made) since my last visit to Jakarta, Indonesia.
As I have not been up to date with my Nike’s VapourMax Utility have been discontinued. I have the feeling that its been replaced with Nike ACG (All Conditions Gear).
Anyways last year Nike made an exclusive TN named the Red Back, to which many people tend to point or becoming a talking point when people see them.

This has been my everyday work horse.
Initially I was going to purchase the Flyknit Racer in black but upon inspection just did not appeal to me. The lovely lady that served me at JD Sportswear at Rundle St Mall suggested that React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX was a much more comfortable shoe.

Compared to the TN’s these shoes are lighter.

My initial review is that normally I wear size US 11.5, UK10.5 EUR45.5 but this particular model did have .5’s so I ended up wit size 11. The width of the shoe is perfect meaning it is naturally wider hence not needing the extra half. There is more ankle support compared to the TN’s and driving with them seems normal.
Walking on them feels soft and very good absorption of impact when walking with a bit of bounce which makes walking on them easy. I am hoping that it being Goretex it will be waterproof similar to the VapourMax Utility. Overall I do like them and would recommend them.
